Article: Arrow Season 2 Details

By Raina on Sep 01, 13 • Categories: TV Shows: Arrow

An article released on has new details on Arrow Season 2 and briefly mentions Summer’s upcoming role. You can read it below:

Now that ‘Arrow‘ season 2 has been confirmed to introduce superpowers in the form of a potential ‘Flash‘ spinoff, the DC live-action universe will have a number of questions to answer in the coming years if at all ‘Arrow’ is to tie into its cinematic relatives. That question grows even more complicated today, as the CW superhero series may soon introduce DC’s own Nick Fury of sorts, Amanda Waller!

A new report from SpoilerTV (most of which have been accurate thus far) suggests that the sixth episode of the upcoming ‘Arrow’ season will bear the title “Keep Your Enemies Closer,” and introduce the ‘Arrow’ incarnation of DC’s mainstay go-between Amanda Waller. Acting as a recurring role, Waller will head up the already-established A.R.G.U.S., and lead up a team that kidnaps Diggle (David Ramsey).

Granted, Waller has frequently been characterized as a more sinister figure than Nick Fury, and often bears some association with the “Suicide Squad.” One would expect that the growing DC cinematic universe would at some point introduce its own Amanda Waller (assuming it discards Angela Bassett‘s version from ‘Green Lantern‘), perhaps firmly establishing ‘Arrow’ to be a separate entity from any of the films.

In addition to incorporating Metamorpho, The Atom and The Flash, ‘Arrow’ season 2 will pick up on October 9 some time after the events of season 1 finale “Sacrifice,” continuing its ‘Batman Begins’-influenced storytelling with the addition of new villains Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau), Brother Blood (Kevin Alejandro), Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), League of Assasins member Al-Owal (‘Homeland”sNavid Negahban) and DC character Sin (‘The Killing”s Bex Taylor Klaus). Guest stars Colton Haynes(Roy Harper), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) and Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson) have all been upgraded to series regulars for the second year in Starling City.

Knights of Badassdom Picked Up For Distribution

By Raina on Jul 26, 13 • Categories: Movies: Knights of Badassdom

In 2011 Summer completed filming for the fantasy-comedy Knights of Badassdom which co-starred Peter Dinklage and Ryan Kwanten. The film debuted at Comic-Con the same year but was never officially released. There had been no news so the fans and stars alike assumed it was dead in the water.

Finally – some good news! The film has been picked up for distribution by eOne entertainment, and will be released in theaters and VOD some time this year.

Check out the official details below:

You may remember Joe Lynch‘s upcoming film, Knights of Badassdom. The film, which stars Peter Dinklage, Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn and Summer Glau, tells the tale of a motley crew of LARPers (Live Action Role-Players) who unwittingly release a demon in the world, and must turn their fantasy heroics into real ones in order to destroy said demon.

And I say “you may remember” because since the film’s debut at Comic-Con two years ago, news on Knights of Badassdom has all but dried up entirely. The few things to be heard about the film were not pleasant- namely, that its production company, IndieVest, removed Lynch from the film and that IndieVest owner Wade Bradley recut the film as he saw fit. This story broke back in March of this year; since then, there’s been no word of any developments.

But don’t give up hope just yet. According to Collider, the film has been picked up for distribution by eOne entertainment, who plan to do a day and date release in theaters and on VOD (releasing it on both formats on the same day). As of now, there’s no word on which cut eOne will be releasing- Lynch’s or IndieVest’s. If it turns out to be the latter, viewers will be left with a thoroughly unpleasant choice. Support a butchered version of the film, or don’t support it at all?

Hopefully it won’t come down to that. Check out an older trailer for Knights of Badassdom and keep your fingers crossed.
